Do you find yourself wondering if your teaching is having an impact? You’re not alone. And Rejoice Learning wanted to develop a solution to this problem. The Reports & Analytics Dashboard is an intuitive, visual way to assess how your learners are performing on any quiz, assignment, login, or course, so you can finally get all the time and effort you’re spending on your platform to pay off.

This dashboard pulls in the data from quizzes, sign-ins, and courses all on one screen, so you’re not forced to sift through reams of data-whether you’re overseeing a few students or an entire institution, this report will get you quick, accurate, and honest results.

Turning Raw Learning Data Into Actionable Insights

Every step your learner takes on Rejoice Learning produces data a module completed, a deadline missed, a quiz retake, a forum posting. Left alone, these events say nothing. But viewed in aggregate, they paint a picture of engagement, progress, and risk.

The insight at the heart of this dashboard is that it pulls together the disparate bits of data we already have from courses, assessments, and activity logs, and translates them into insights you can act on (even without a PhD in data analysis). Drop-off points, performance shocks, and plateaus in engagement are all flagged automatically, explained in plain English when displayed visually, and updated in near real-time so you always have current information.

A Dashboard Built for Every Role in Your Institution

We all have different needs; that’s why Rejoice Learning is aware of this. The dashboard varies according to the user logged in, displaying only the information that is truly useful for them. What you see depends on the profile, which updates automatically:

  • Classroom snapshots: assignment completion, mark distributions, and individual student progress for teachers
  • Administrators get the whole-school picture: enrollment trends, course performance against co-taught courses, instructor activity
  • Heads of department love program-level rollups, so they can view cohorts, semesters and subjects side by side
  • Students (if enabled) receive a digital learning progress view to see their personal growth over time

With this role-based setup, each stakeholder opens the dashboard and immediately finds what matters most to them – not someone else’s version of what’s relevant.

Visualizing Student Progress Without the Guesswork

One of teachers’ biggest frustrations is recognizing that a student is struggling but not being able to pinpoint when or why. This dashboard takes the guesswork out of “why” with a dynamic set of graphs and visual indicators – on track, at risk, or off track – that help you quickly see emerging patterns. From a general view of your whole class or year you can drill into individual student logs, analyze performance across several previous years and cohorts, and understand whether a drop in performance is isolated or a sign of an impending problem. Anticipate and address student issues before they fall too far behind.

Customizable Reports That Match Your Institution’s Needs

Success is measured differently at every institution, and Rejoice Learning leaves it up to you how your dashboard reports. Perhaps you want to add a couple of pilot courses and track them for a semester, or you’re reporting to your board of directors and want a higher-level snapshot. Simply build a report builder that reflects what’s important to your institution, with all the courses, date ranges, and metrics you want.

Save it as a report template for future queries, then export your report as a PDF, Excel, or other document to the right people at the right time, whether that’s a recurring monthly report or a semester report. When reports change, build new dashboards easily; the new dashboard simply grows with your institution.

Spotting At-Risk Learners Before It’s Too Late

Retention is one of the biggest challenges in education, and sometimes you can spot the signs in the data before it’s official. Rejoice Learning’s dashboard was built for early detection and prevention, rather than tracking once a student has already dropped out. It can detect:

  • Decreased login frequency or missed deadlines.
  • A risk score based on engagement, grades and participation.
  • Proposed intervention points following patterns observed in similar historical learners

It’s easy to look at only those students who need attention now with filtering, so more students get the support they need – and fewer students fall through the cracks.

Keeping Institutional Decision-Making Grounded in Real Numbers

In addition to daily classroom monitoring, this dashboard becomes an effective leadership planning tool. The effectiveness of courses, the performance of instructors and the management of resources all should have a real data source, not anecdotal ‘guessing. You can measure the completion rate of each course/instructors by department, to see what works and what doesn’t, and understand whether your training/curriculum investments are paying off over time. For organizations that must adhere to accreditation or audit regulations, the same data can be exported into ready-to-audit reports, saving administrative staff some of the busy work.

Designed to Be Simple, Even If You’re Not a Data Person

If people aren’t willing to use an analytics tool, then it isn’t very useful. And that challenge is why educators tend to avoid their data in the first place: too difficult, too time-consuming, and too complex. Rejoice Learning focus on creating an intuitive, visual-led experience first – no complex dashboards to learn, no complicated settings to fiddle with – with guided tooltips, explanations in simple English, and built-in help available when needed, on the platform. With a responsive design, reports will render just as well on a phone during a break as they do on the desktop, making it easy for everyone – of any comfort level – to get questions answered and insights achieved.

Frequently Asked Questions About Reports & Analytics Dashboard

Do I need to know how to read data or use analytics tools to use this dashboard?

Not in the least. Rejoice Learning's dashboard was designed for normal teachers not data analysts. Every bit of it is visual - bar charts, color-coded counts, and simple language summaries so that even if you don't know anything about data, you will understand what the Rejoice dashboard is telling you about your children. If you understand color-coded traffic lights, you get it.

Will I see the same information as an administrator, or is my view different?

We customize your view so it is appropriate for your daily use. A teacher will see, for example, class-level information such as submission rates and individual student progress; administrators have access to a broader perspective of the whole institution; department chairs might view program-level comparisons, but you won't see anything that isn't applicable to your role.

How often does the data update? Am I looking at old information?

The dashboard shows this activity almost instantly so you're only seeing live data rather than six days ago's report. If a student logs in, submits an assignment, or misses a deadline, this is all on the dashboard, so you can follow up on real-time data, not out-of-date reports.

Can the dashboard actually tell me which students are struggling before I notice myself?

Yes, one of its big features. It monitors indicators such as decreasing logins, missed deadlines and decreased participation, and it flags students at risk based on a combination of these signals. You'll still need to exercise your own discretion, but this gives you a heads-up so you can check in before the student's health care is a bigger concern.

I need to report to my institution's leadership — can I customize what gets included?

Absolutely. You're not limited to one report layout. You can select what data, date ranges, and courses to include, and you have the option of saving that as a template if it's the type of report you'll want to generate regularly (monthly, semester, etc.). When it's time to send it, you can export to PDF or Excel, or have it send on a scheduled basis.

Can I check the dashboard from my phone, or do I need to be at a computer?

The dashboard is fully mobile-friendly, so you can check on your students' progress between classes, during a commute, or wherever you happen to be. You won't lose functionality just because you're on a smaller screen.
